THE AUSSIE MODESTY

Australians are modest, humble, and have a sense of humour. They are very down to earth and always mindful of not giving the impression that they think they are better than anyone else. They don’t also like drawing attention to their achievements and are distrustful of people who do.

AUSTRALIAN ETIQUETTE AND CUSTOMS

Aussies prefer to use first names on first meeting, shake their hand and smile at them. They like things to be casual. You can simply say, 'Hello' or 'Hello, how are you?' instead of 'G'day' or 'G'day, mate', it may sound patronizing for them.

7. Getting an Australian drivers license for international students also comes in handy, most especially if you want to apply for a job. Some job opportunities in Australia require international students to have a valid driver’s license.
